Born and raised in Hahnville, Louisiana, Kernell Jupiter is the son of Josie and Freddie Jupiter Jr. With a foundation built on hard work and dedication, Kernell began his career at Occidental Petroleum before launching Kernie J’s Catering. His leadership journey led him to the Caesars Superdome, where he advanced to General Manager, overseeing operations at the Superdome, Smoothie King Center, and Champion Square. Recognized for his excellence, he was named General Manager of the Year by Centerplate in 2012 and by Sodexo Live in 2025.
After an accomplished two-decade career, Kernell recently retired from Sodexo Live, where his passion for hospitality and mentorship left a lasting legacy. He remains active in the community through NACE, the LRA, Son of a Saint, and the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, where he serves on multiple committees. He is also Co-Founder and Chief Advisor of T.E.A.M. Jupiter, INC., an organization dedicated to mentorship and community development.
Kernell is married to 2026 Province Princess Genika Green-Jupiter, and together they share four children — Kernell Jr., Ariel, Gazmyne, and Khloe — and three grandchildren: Konnor, Kenzie, and Kruz.

A proud native of Gretna, Louisiana, Genika S. Green-Jupiter is an accomplished business leader, community advocate, and lifelong learner. The daughter of Geneva Green and Samual Zerainge, she was raised with strong values of faith, service, and education.
A graduate of L.W. Higgins High School, Genika earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Master’s in Business Management from Strayer University, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration at Franklin University. Her research explores the integration of entrepreneurial learning in early childhood education to cultivate creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving skills in young learners.
She is the founder and owner of 3G Service Group Construction and Executive Staffing Agency, LLC, and in 2020, she expanded her community impact by launching T.E.A.M. Jupiter, Inc., where she serves as Executive Director. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to empowering youth through educational, civic, and intercultural initiatives. Her guiding philosophy—“Investing in our future means investing in our youth, as they are our future”—shapes every program and partnership she develops.
Professionally, Genika serves with Jefferson Community Action Programs (JeffCAP) – Head Start Division, where she advances fiscal accountability and program development to support children and families throughout Jefferson Parish.
Genika is a proud and active member of the Phenomenal Woman Float of the Krewe of Athena Carnival Club, Inc., where she exemplifies the organization’s four pillars—sisterhood, service, fellowship, and fun. She is also a devoted member of the Divine Naamah Chapter No. 200, Order of the Eastern Star, under the Esther Grand Chapter, Prince Hall Affiliation, Louisiana Jurisdiction, through which she supports charitable initiatives and civic engagement efforts statewide.
A woman deeply rooted in faith, Genika is guided by her favorite scripture, Isaiah 53:5:
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” This verse reflects her belief in grace, healing, and selfless service—principles that define her personal and professional mission.
Above all, she cherishes her role as wife to 2026 Province Prince Kernell Jupiter, Sr., mother to Gazmyne and Khloe, stepmother to Kernell Jr. and Ariel, and step-grandmother to Konnor, Kenzie, and Kruz. With grace, faith, and purpose, Genika Green-Jupiter continues to lead by example—uplifting others, empowering youth, and building a lasting legacy of love, leadership, and community service.
